Mission and Purpose The .transcend top-level domain is intended to benefit Internet users by enabling TRANSCEND INFORMATION INC. (hereinafter "The Company") to communicate more easily, securely and effectively with all Internet users, and particularly with its customers, employees and affiliates. The TLD will serve as a dedicated branding, technology and services platform for The Company's mission and its businesses. Mission and purpose. TRANSCEND INFORMATION INC. is a corporation headquartered at No. 70, Xingzhong Rd., Neihu Dist., Taipei City 11494, Taiwan (R.O.C.), operating in the manufacture, processing and sale of computer software and hardware, peripheral equipment, data storage media and electronic components, together with information software services and international trade. "transcend" derives from the Company's own corporate name and global brand, TRANSCEND INFORMATION INC. The purpose of the .transcend TLD is to provide a trusted, exclusively controlled namespace — operated by or on behalf of The Company — for the distribution and exchange of information among The Company and its stakeholders via websites, applications, email and other online services that reside within the .transcend space. By consolidating The Company's online presence under a single authoritative TLD, .transcend gives users a reliable signal of authenticity and reduces the risk of phishing, spoofing and brand abuse. Intended registrants and users. .transcend is a single-registrant ".brand" TLD operated under ICANN Registry Agreement Specification 13. The Company will be the sole registrant: it initially intends to reserve all names within the TLD for itself and to register and use second-level domains for its own purposes. Any third-party use of a domain would occur only under a contract with The Company that limits use to purposes The Company specifies, enforced through monitoring and prompt action. The users of the TLD are The Company's customers, employees, partners and affiliates worldwide, who will rely on .transcend domains to reach The Company's official online services. Competition, differentiation and innovation. .transcend does not compete with existing generic TLDs for registrations, because it is not open to third-party registration. It differentiates The Company's authentic online presence from look-alike domains in open TLDs, and allows The Company to design a namespace whose structure reflects its own products, services and organisation rather than the constraints of a shared registry.
