We are applying for .mesh as a .Brand TLD. Mesh is a relationship intelligence platform, built on the idea that nothing valuable is ever lost and that the connections between people are as important as the people themselves. The mission of this TLD is to give Mesh a namespace it fully controls that reinforces user trust, strengthens protection against phishing and impersonation of the Mesh brand, and provides a stable, brand-consistent home for Mesh’s online presence.
In accordance with the .Brand TLD model under Specification 13 of the Registry Agreement, we will implement a strict registration approval process to ensure registrations are limited to these types of registrants which will include:
- an internal request and approval process for any part of the business that wishes to use a domain name within our TLD;
- creation of pre-defined registration policies setting out who can register a domain within our TLD;
- use of a trusted corporate registrar for the creation of all domain names. The registrar will only accept requests from authorized individuals within our organization.
This purpose is sustainable because it is tied directly to Mesh’s core, ongoing business and brand identity, rather than to any time-limited initiative. Knock Knock WHOIS There has dedicated long-term financial, technical, and operational resources to its digital infrastructure and brand strategy, and the .mesh TLD will be maintained and governed under that same continuing commitment for the foreseeable future.
The mission and purpose of this TLD is to expand consumer choice by providing a clear namespace associated with interconnected structures and networks. Registrants may include network operators, engineers, designers, manufacturers and users. The purpose is sustainable because interconnection is a continuing requirement in communications and physical systems. The gTLD is not dependent on a single industry, technology, or business model and can accommodate evolving uses as technology and Internet activity develop.
Applicant designated Identity Digital as the RSP. Identity Digital enjoys a reputation of excellence as a domain name industry contributor and innovator. Applicant, along with Identity Digital’s team, will support this purpose through reliable registry operations, appropriate security and abuse-mitigation measures, transparent registration policies, and compliance with applicable ICANN requirements.
