Internet Land & Cattle LLC is applying for and, if successful, will operate the .human gTLD as part of its objective of supporting competition, choice, and innovation in the Domain Name System. The mission and purpose of .human is to provide a stable, secure, and memorable namespace for lawful people-centered identities, content, products, services, initiatives, and organizations. Intended registrants include individuals, businesses, nonprofit organizations, educators, researchers, healthcare and wellness providers, artists, creators, publishers, advocacy organizations, technology projects, community groups, and service providers seeking a domain name relevant to people, humanity, human experience, creativity, communication, rights, or wellbeing. Intended users include Internet users seeking to identify, discover, navigate to, or interact with those registrants. The namespace will support a broad range of lawful personal, social, cultural, educational, scientific, technological, and commercial uses. It will not be limited exclusively to Internet Land & Cattle LLC, its Affiliates, a single organization, philosophy, industry, or registrant class. The applicant will work with its registry service provider, ICANN-accredited registrars, and other providers to support reliable registry operations, registrar distribution, rights protection, DNS-abuse mitigation, security, and responsible registration and acceptable-use policies. This purpose is sustainable because human identity, experience, creativity, services, research, and communication are enduring subjects of Internet activity. Broad applicability, registrar distribution, scalable infrastructure, and registration and renewal revenue are intended to support the TLD’s long-term operation and development.
