The mission and purpose of .claw is to give all internet users an unrestricted and generic namespace to expand the OpenClaw ecosystem, a self-hosted gateway that connects chat apps to AI coding agents. While .claw is aimed at developers and power users who want a personal AI assistant they can reach from anywhere, it is an unrestricted and generic TLD that can be used by anyone and for any purpose, such as birdwatching enthusiasts, wildlife photographers, conservation organizations, veterinarians and pet groomers.
The applicant will drive adoption of .claw through public relations outreach to developer and open-source media, marketing to existing OpenClaw users, such AI developers and customers, partnership development within the OpenClaw ecosystem, channel plugin developers, and the open-source community, and coordinated promotion through the registrar channel to extend distribution and drive registration volume.
This mission and purpose is sustainable over time because it OpenClaw is already a popular and rapidly expanding ecosystem, and there is a need for users to access and retain control over their own data and infrastructure using traditional DNS infrastructure and domain management.
